True Blue Air Jordan Retro III Will Be An International Only Release

We had heard the rumors and received countless emails, tweets, facebook hits, asking, so we reached out to our friends at Jordan Brand to get the info direct from the source. As of June 22nd, the date we received the email reply, the True Blue Air Jordan III will be an international only release. This means that the True Blue III will pretty much release everywhere outside of the US. With that being said, anything can change at the drop of a dime, but, Jordan Brand has confirmed to KATC that the True Blue III is scheduled for an international release in August.

Why torture their #1 market? because Jordan brand are experts at it. Time after time they've disappointed us true sneakerheads. From quality issues to limited quantities to the hybrid series, they truly have bastardized a once proud company. I can almost swear they are trying to piss us off on purpose. They probably go on here, NT, and other forums and read the complaints and ask themselves "how can i make these guys even more mad?....." It really is ridiculous. Next thing you know they are going to release concord XI's as an Africa only release. After that here comes the AJF19. uuugghhh i'll stop there, i don't want to give JB any more genius ideas.....

JB has not released anything I've wanted since the late 06-early 07 run of retro V's which I and many others grabed multiples on atleast three colors. It has been over two years since they have produced anything I wanted and durring that time the only things I've bought are a few XX3's and the XIII/X countdown pack regretably. Just a terrible run of over two and a half years since those V's for me and I was finaly looking forward to a fresh pair of these. Guess anyone who's graduated from college and has jobs and their own money are completely off jordan brands target customer base at this point. I've never said JB is dead and they never will be because theres always up and coming 10-18 year olds spending every penny of parents $$ and allowance on kicks, but if this happens the legacy concerning the greatest to ever play the game is dead as far as his sneakers are concenred to me. It seems like they are targeting those who were not old enough to watch and appriciate Jordan raise even half of his 6 trophey's. Atleast I was alive when he got drafted. Damn

Anyone who has been in the game for awhile knows that releases are meant to create HYPE!! this is a great way to hype the shoe for an American release if I had a dime for everytime Nike/Jordan said that a shoe would not release I would have about 5$. It's called marketing

For anyone saying "You all should wake up, it's just a marketing ploy" please understand that its not just about this release. MJ and Jordan Brand had a good thing going for about 21 years for many who have been around to enjoy his game and kicks for the better part of it. They released enough of the popular retro models at reasonable prices(ie no packages) to keep fans happy, retroing some favorites every 5-8 years and leaving a couple signiature models from each year out to be retroed only once to this point. Meanwhile they created some nice retro + colorways that were well thought out and fans fell in love with them despite not being og colors. This made every retro release of a certain shoe that came out over a few month period(anywhere from 2-6 colorways) pleasing for fans over the last 10 years or so,while og colorways were mixed with new colorways flint, cool grey, white/blue ect. There were still some decent new sig models along the way. Now we have the jordan 2009, packages of worse quality than one could find in some payless sneakers, fusions, skate shoes, limited chukkas to 200 pairs, all sorts of lifestyle clothing, boots, wack colorways and materials on the few retro release that we do seee, and thousands upon thousands of $115 team shoes and .5 editions. The point is, jordan brand is nothing like it used to be, its headed in a direction that anyone who has seen even as much as the last 5-6 years has to be incredibly disapointed with. Many OG heads have written Jordan Brand off for good, because this is where its going, and because of who they target, this will never change. For those of us who refuse to accept this and still hold that slighest bit of hope that something which brought us some enjoyment throughout our childhoods and into early adulthood would still throw us a bone once in a while, Well this move means alot more than just droping true blues outside of north america. So marketing ploy or not,and I still expect they will make it to america, just the fact that JB's top reps would state such a thing is as disgusting as actualy doing do.
There is a such thing as OVER ANALYZATION. In my opinion people always look for something to COMPLAIN about. The truth of the matter is theres only so many OG coloways (very limited). You cant drop these all the time and in my opinion should only come out VERY SELDOM. Thats what makes them what they are. If you release OG colorways all the time then they lose value QUICKLY. Any OG head who wasnt just satisfied by these packages just isnt going to be satisfied. I am tired of people complaining about Jordan Brand just to have something to complain about. That really gets old, FAST. If youre a "OG Head" as you say then youre only a part time sneaker head cause youre missing out on great shoes. Keep the OGs where they are, cause thats what makes them what they are.

I understand change must occur since Jordan is far enough removed from the game that the newer generation will appriciate Lebron, Wade and Kobe more. To keep in touch Jordan must react to that fact. I coach at a bunch of camps and its the truth. And anyone under 14 is just as impressed by some bloyal's as they are with some infared VI's again knowing from experience. But everyone is so concenred about monetary value. If you truly appriciate sentimental value of owning OG's and watching Jordan play and win championships, then you can appriciate these shoes being retroed for younger generations to love as well. 02 true blues are not OG's and if Jordan Brand carries through with this international only release, then it will be beacuse of all the poeple close to home with 02's who are complaining that they won't be worth $700 anymore, which is some bs cus if you love the shoes you should not care. However I can understand that poeple don't want to see every teenager in every hood and suburb with these on their feet when they would be nearly as happy with the latest fusion release. Thats how the game is, I accept it, but it doesnt mean you can't put these out into lifestyle accounts and keep them out of most malls and chain stores. Many wore out their 02's and need fresh pairs. I don't enjoy complaining and I rarely do it. I'm not an OG head as you speak. I love how Nikebasketball is at the forefront of the industry, coming up with new ideas, tech and designs. The simple fact is Jordan Brand is not keeping up. They are riding the strength of the man and not the strength of their product. If these were poor quality or what not, I'd have nothing to complain about. I passed on the countdown packs becasue they were not my thing. Simple. But if these are going to be everywhere around the world, why not the US? And if they are releasing in the US then why does Jordan feel the need to play a game with dudes who spend their hard earned money by saying they will not drop when they know its going to happen? All that will do is help international resllers,flight club/other sneaker sites get $300+ a pair off the poor consumer who barley makes rent. Yes, I know they should not spend their money that way, its their fault.... I see the point about keeping OG colors limited and all, but when the resell on the 02 RETRO's not 87 joints, is as high as it is, another release makes sense, because there are plenty who want them.

im just replying to the aforementioned jibes over the issue that we're somehow ineligible to receive a release like that.I know its not just about this, the last few years have been absolutely terrible. So i wasnt purely singling out this drop. Theres so many issues. I actually think its bad on JB's part that they would only make it an international release. I believe that it should be open to the US as well. Im just standing up for my fellow jordan countrymen getting flamed for very little other than being able to obtain a release that the US isnt getting. A knee jerk reaction maybe, but no one has the right to tell us we dont deserve it.
But believe me, i feel as let down by JB as you do. And alot of the time i have to pay hard for drops i cant get here.

No doubt there's just as much love all around the world than there is here. Europe cleans up on some nice air max releases that we never see. But in terms of Jordan releases, its been no contest, with the states seeing everything and then complaining about any exclusives that do not come our way. Wifey really wanted some of those purple and gold zenyths that droped recently from nsw, even the chlorophyll trainer 1's were euro only. At the same time china and japan get more than the u.s. does. They target us for ignorant, materialist fools over here with $200-$350 releases, while they sell shoes individualy over there. Unfortunatly thats the case and most heads are getting real selfish over here, releases are brutal and I wish I lived in another part of the world as far as sneakers are concerned. Line ups are crazy and people act like fools on this side, so you mine as well wait out the initial ebay storm on kicks and wait till they drop in price. The exchange rate is working for you as well. This shoe should be everywhere, but sneaker heads should not fight amongst each other, its Nike and Jordan Brand who call the shots and create the hype based on where they sell the products and how limited they are.
