Titanium Blue Air Jordan XX3 Sold Out at NikeTown Chicago -- Line Sent Home Until Friday

NikeTown Chicago Line

With the "Titanium Blue" Air Jordan XX3 hysteria nearly reaching it's apex, the sneaker releases tomorrow, and with temperatures diving into the negative teens, NikeTown Chicago officially disbanded the lineup outside of the store last night. The lineup began on Monday with two people from Michigan, the line swelled to 16 by Tuesday, and reached the magic number 23 by Wednesday morning.

All 23 people on line received vouchers to return to the store on Friday to pick up their pair of "Titanium Blue" Air Jordan XX3s, putting an end to their snowy/sub-zero ordeal.

This morning, a sign on the door of NikeTown Chicago with a picture of the "Titanium Blue" Air Jordan XX3 reads "Sold Out".

With the release of the "Titanium Blue" Air Jordan XX3 officially set for tomorrow, as [Chris Littman details on First Cuts], expect anything.

Disclaimer: KATC does not condone or promote lining up for sneakers. Use your best judgment and remember to always stay safe.

His favorite sneaker of all time is the Air Jordan VIII. Beyond loving the physical sneaker, MaZe loves the culture behind it. Thats just bull in my opinion. The people are sent home and then return friday?

Why didn't I just go there 3 weeks ago and wait until they sent me home, which would of been 5 hours or so.

By not being present there, the principle of first come first served is not preserved. Safety and life is preserved, but Niketown should just have a line inside with them restricted to like a 5minute bathroom break and the security guard working there monitoring if life was ideal.

The bastardization of sneakers is going even deeper, but this ruins the concept of first come first serve, my biggest problem.

this is some bullshit, **** them ******* at niketown chicago. motherfuckers lined up was probably all they friends and family

  4. Big 757 says:

definitely bullshit!!!! Moes and Jimmy Jazz(both NYC) only released sneakers to employees and friends.

I was 13th in line at Chicago. I can tell you that none of the people in line were friends nor family of employees at NT CHI. We all braved the cold and after two nights (since monday) we were sent home with vouchers by a call form corporate concerning the -30 degree weather. The 21st person in was an actual employee who had to stand in line themselves. I understand people being upset by the concept but all of us in line at Chicago were there on our own terms and not by affiliation with the store.
