Air Jordan Fusion 8 Aqua | First Look

In addition to the White/Black/Red OG Air Jordan VII inspired Air Jordan Fusion 8 that I posted yesterday, Jordan Brand is set to release the an Air Jordan Fusion 8 inspired by the classic Aqua Air Jordan VII as well. The Aqua Air Jordan Fusion 8 is a combination of the Nike Air Force 1 Mid and the Aqua Air Jordan VIII. From AJVIII, the AJF8 borrows the Black and Dark Grey nubuck upper, the AJVIII tongue with the multicolored chenille Jumpman logo, the AJIII cross-straps with the "23" and "AIR JORDAN", and the Aqua "crayon" patterns.
From the Nike Air Force 1, the AJF8 takes the overall tooling of the Air Force 1 including the shape of the upper, the midsole, and the outsole. The upper sits on a Black midsole and Purple and Aqua outsole.

During the Jordan Brand Silver Anniversary Air Jordan 2010 Event, I was able to witness, in the flesh, Michael Jordan's passing the Air Jordan torch to Dwyane Wade. As both of he and D. Wade sat on the stage, alongside Mark Smith and Tinker Hatfield, MJ expressed his happiness with finally bringing D. Wade into the Jordan Brand after trying for several years.
Come December, D. Wade is officially set to rock the Air Jordan 2010. Yesterday via his Twitter, D. Wade unveiled his own Air Jordan 2010 PE. D. Air Jordan 2010 | Detailed Look

Continuing my coverage of the Air Jordan 2010, we take a very detailed look at the Silver Anniversary 25th Air Jordan signature sneaker. The Air Jordan 2010 is a product of a three-headed collaborative process between Tinker Hatfield, Mark Smith, and the man himself, Michael Jordan. The design process started out with a conversation betweem Tinker and MJ. In this conversation, Michael told Tinker that he used to look through his opponent while showing his opponent only portions of his game at strategic points. He asked Tinker if the Air Jordan 2010 could somehow show this portion of his game, from this, the "Transparency" was born.
The "Transparency" piece of the Air Jordan 2010 is the most noticeable design component of the Air Jordan 2010. The piece itself is a TPU window that serves also as a functional piece that helps to shed weight, while also helping to wrap closer to the foot when the sneaker is laced. According to Tinker, the Air Jordan 2010 weighs in at around 15oz.
The other main technological advancement is the vamp (toebox). The vamp is an actual overlay on top of the toebox. The overlay allows for the foot to flex underneath it. The mechanism allows for maximum supportive flexibility.
The Air Jordan 2010 also feature full length Nike Zoom Air and a double stacked Zoom Air in the heel unit.
From an aesthetics/materials standpoint, behind the transparent window, the Air Jordan 2010 features a mix of perforated White leather, Black textured leather, and Black nubuck. Also, the way the footbed wraps around the foot, a hint of Carolina Blue will always be shown through the medial side of the transparent TPU window. The tongue is sloped to wrap around the foot better on the medial side and the tongues feature an embroidered "23" and an Jumpman. The midsole is layered in White and Red and the sneaker sits on a Black outsole.
The Air Jordan 2010 is set to release on February 13 at a retail of $170.
