Yesterday we took a look at the newest flavor of the adidas ZX 8000, the adidas ZX 8000 “Fresh Green”, and today, adidas has officially unveiled the adidas ZX Flux. Based on the venerable ZX 8000, the adidas ZX Flux strips down the futuristic tech’d out shell that the ZX 8000 is known for to become a seamless one piece minimal bootie upper done in the shape of the OG classic. The ZX Flux retains the overall look and feel of the ZX 8000 and also retains some of the core technologies including adidas Torsion. In addition to the more tech’d out adidas ZX 8000 that we looked at earlier this morning, adidas also recently released the more simple adidas ZX 580 in a “USA” colorway. The “USA” adidas ZX 580 features a patriotic mix of Navy suede, Red smooth leather, White mesh, and Black smooth leather on a Grey, White, Red, and Black sole. In addition to the to the White based OG flavors that you’d expect from the legendary adidas Stan Smith, adidas is also bringing back the adidas Stan Smith Black/Black. A true “blackout” colorway, the Black/Black adidas Stan Smith features a full premium leather Black upper sitting on a Black sole. Look for these to drop on 1/15 at select adidas retailers. Last year adidas dipped into their massive vintage Basketball vault to bring back several OG flavors of the adidas Basket Profi. This year, they are bringing the Basket Profi back out paying tribute to several of the OG colorways with the adidas Basket Profi “OG Mix”. The “OG Mix” Basket Profi features four distinct color and material hits from the OG Profi line including Navy leather, Black leather, Green nubuck and Pink leather sitting on a White sole.
