There is no denying the fact that China based sportswear brands have been extremely aggressive, and pretty successful, over the past couple of years in luring some big name NBA players away from big name American brands. Following in the footsteps of Jason Kidd, Steve Nash is officially set to leave Nike and become the second Hall of Fame point guard to leave Nike in the latter stages of his career. While J. Kidd left Nike for PEAK, a pretty well known Chinese brand, Steve Nash is leaving Nike for LUYOU, a brand that I personally have not heard of prior to this announcement. No word on why Nash decided to leave Nike, beyond not agreeing to a new contract with the Swoosh, and no word on any financial terms.
