After a long, and ultimately painful for the local Washington DC sneaker community, absence, MAJOR DC is back and better than ever. Located at the original Georgetown location, the new MAJOR flagship showroom features an open floor plan with an emphasis on displaying MAJOR’s footwear selection and fitted selection in the 2 continuous main walls of the space. In addition to the footwear and fitteds, MAJOR offers a smaller and carefully curated selection of t-shirts along with a new and growing collection of in-house MAJOR brand shirts which are displayed inside a jewelry case, giving a nod to the fact that MAJOR operated as a popup store inside a neighboring jewelry store earlier this year. The new shop layout is heavily influenced by the culture with the floor design directly inspired by the speckled hit from the original Air Jordan V.
Newly updated, and back from the hardship of the 10 month absence, MAJOR has set out to re-establish their “The Only Store That Matters” tagline and to celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of its flagship showroom, MAJOR will be throwing an official Grand Re-Opening Celebration event that will take place on Friday, October 26th, featuring the one and only sneaker/fitted King, DJ Clark Kent. On this day, MAJOR will officially unveil their New Era custom cap wall. If you live in or are visiting the DC area, MAJOR is a must visit.
