There is no denying the fact that the sneaker has become an artistic canvas. From the early days of simple marker based customizations to the most envelope pushing modern day collaborations, sneaker design is an art form. Of all of the brands that push their silhouettes to the max, Puma may be the most courageous. Coming off their animal themed collaboration with ATMOS, Puma is set to release the Japanese Monster Pack in 2009. Inspired by classic Japanese film monsters, the Japanese Monster Pack features a Puma Clyde, a Puma Stepper, a Puma MID, and two Puma First Rounds. Each of the sneakers within the pack feature an upper of several different “monster” fabrics including fur, mirrored leather, scales, and more. Each sneaker also features artwork inspired by the Monster that the represent and a list of the monster’s skills on the inner tongue.
The Puma Japanese Monster Pack is set to release in March of 2009 at select Puma accounts.
