Nike Zoom Kobe IV Draft Day Charlotte Hornets Colorway

Nike Zoom Kobe IV Draft Day Charlotte Hornets

The name Kobe Bryant is so synonymous with the Los Angeles Lakers that it is easy to forget that KB24 was actually drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in 1996. Kobe's draft rights were signed over to LA in exchange for Vlade Divac, and the rest, is history. To commemorate this vital piece of NBA history, Nike is set to release a Charlotte Hornets colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe IV. The Draft Day Nike Zoom Kobe IV features a White upper with Teal and Purple accents. The day of the draft 6.11.96 is also emblazoned on the heel tab and on the footbed.

A release date for the Draft Day Charlotte Hornets Nike Zoom Kobe IV has not been confirmed, once we receive this info, it will be posted.

Draft day was actually on the 26th of June during 96, 11th of July was when he was traded.

  5. PB says:

Thats a pointless shoe, Kobe didn't even want to play for the Hornets and wanted to be traded before he even played a game for them. Such a stupid concept, almost a slap in the face.

  6. Sincere says:

I don't even believe that it is the Charlotte Hornets colorways. I believe that it's the Minneapolis Lakers Colorway. That makes more sense to me, but hey...who am I? Nobody. JMO

The Hornets franchise will live in infamy, as the dumb a.s.s.e.s who traded Kobe Bryant for Vlade Divac!

Sure, no one could've know, immidiately after draft night what good he would've been, they never even gave him a shot by keeping him at least a year. IDIOTS!

But, who's to say KB would've even played as long in Charlotte/New Orleans, as he has in LA?? The world will never know!
