After an amazing breakout season, Kevin Durant proved that he deserves to be in the discussion of the best players in the league. The youngest player to ever win the NBA scoring title, KD averaged 30.1 points a game last season. To celebrate KD’s achievement, Nike is set to release the Scoring Title Nike KD II. The Scoring Title Nike KD features a Blue upper with a Black strap, Swoosh, and midsole, Orange accents, and a White outsole. The details on the sneaker include KD’s point totals from the season on the collar lining, a badge on the tongue that is a nod back to his friends and teammates, The Broingtons, as well as Kevin’s “Pure Committment.” The sockliner includes another call-out to The Broingtons, a pennant that alludes to Kevin’s appearance in the NBA All-Star Game in February 2010, and two horses that represent his two H.O.R.S.E competition wins. The strap features the number “35”.
The Nike Zoom KD II Scoring Title is officially set to release on Monday the 28th at NikeTown Chicago and House of Hoops New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, and Dallas. KD himself will also make an appearance at the Chicago NikeTown at 2:30pm on the 28th.
