Continuing their Earth conscious Nike Considered collaborations, Steve Nash and Nike have linked up to create the Trash Talk version of Nash’s signature, the Nike Zoom MVP. The Trash Talk Nike Zoom MVP is stitched together from “trash” scrap/waste materials taken from the manufacturing process cutting room floor. The outsole uses environmentally friendly rubber that reduces toxins and incorporates Nike Grind material from footwear outsole manufacturing waste. The laces are made from 100 percent recycled polyester and sock liners use recycled EVA. And, the sneaker will be packaged in a corrugated shoe box made from 100 percent recycled fiber.
The Trash Talk Nike Zoom MVP is set to release in two colorways, a Phoenix Home White and Orange and a Phoenix Away Black and Purple, on Earth Day/April 22nd at the House of Hoops NY, Chicago, and LA. Retail will be $92.
