In addition to releasing the lighter-than-the-Hyperdunk [Nike Hyperlite], Nike is also set to release the Nike Hypermax. The Nike take the Hyperdunk lineage in a different direction. While the Nike Hyperdunk, and the upcoming Hyperlite, were designed with PGs, SGs, and SFs in mind, even though PFs and Cs ended up wearing them anyway, the Nike Hypermax puts the big man first. The Nike Hypermax features a higher and more supportive cut than the Hyperdunk with the addition of a removable strap for extra lockdown. Instead of Zoom or Lunar Foam, the Nike Hypermax features a full length Max Air Unit, 3/4s of which is visible. Max Air has always been a Big Man’s technology as it better keeps up with the Force from a larger player. Of course being part of the Hyper line, the Nike Hypermax features Nike’s Flywire technology.
As part of their Team Bank series of Nike Hypermax’s, Nike is set to release a White/Orange Nike Hypermax. The White/Orange Nike Hypermax features a White upper with Orange accents at the Swoosh, Flywire, sole, heel and strap. The Nike Hypermax is set to begin rolling out this Summer.
