Though we all tend to focus on the 1992 Olympics and the Dream Team, with good reason, we should not forget that Team USA repeated their Gold Medal performance in 1996 at Atlanta. Lead by Scottie Pippen, a returning player from the original Dream Team, Team USA continued their Basketball dominance to win the Gold medal on the team’s home soil. During his 1996 Olympic run Scottie Pippen wore the Nike Air More Uptempo, a sneaker that the World could not help but notice due to the huge AIR emblazoned on the side. To commemorate Scottie’s Gold Medal winning performance in the Nike Air More Uptempo, Nike recently released the “Olympic” Nike Air More Uptempo exclusively at the House of Hoops by Foot Locker in Harlem. Though not the original colorway that Scottie wore on the Olympic court, the “Olympic” Nike Air More Uptempo features a White upper with a Navy trim and Red accents at the eyelets and Swoosh.
The “Olympic” Nike Air More Uptempo is available now at the House of Hoops by Foot Locker in Harlem, New York.
