Aug 26, 2008 | Comments 3

Though the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics have come to a close, their memory will love on for years as many have called it the most spectacular Olympic in ages. To celebrate the close of the Olympics, Nike created the "Closing Ceremonies" Nike Air Force 1 Low I/O. Dripped in Gold, the "Closing Ceremonies" Nike Air Force 1 Low I/O features a Metallic Gold upper with lasered detailing throughout, a Metallic Gold midsole, and a Black outsole. Outside of the sneakers, the "Closing Ceremonies" come wrapped in a velvet bag which is covered by a Black/Gold 08/08/08 box.
The "Closing Ceremonies" Nike Air Force 1 Low I/O is limited to 888 numbered pairs and as of now, it looks like they will remain a Chinese exclusive. If this changes, we will post it.

This is my favorite af1 ever!!
I wasn't a big fan of DJ CLARK KENT's AF1 ode to the Olympic games (I thought they were akin to slapping colored foil paper atop an AF1 midsole)but these are FRESH. All you AF1 designers out there who deliberately create multi-colored eyesores take note; less is more.
wow!
