The Nike Show R5 gives responsive cushioning specially for runners. The top plate distributes the force of impact from the heel to the individual columns. It acts like a trampoline by deflecting the impact forces. As with the bottom plates, it supports the columns, providing a base that secure and guide your foot through the heel to toe movement or transition. The columns controls and mitigate impact quickly collapsing at first instance and slowly going back to its original state. This transition wedge allows for a smooth ride from the Nike Show revolutionary cushioning system in the heel to the Air Sole found in the forefoot.

LOL @ all of you idiots not understanding why the material on the shoe was used.

FIRST OF ALL, if you played any type of sports in HS, College, you would've recieved a "Letterman's Jacket"... most of, if not ALL letterman jackets were made of wool and leather.

With that said, what else material would go better with celebrating a collegiate coach? Wool and leather, with applique patches... same as those you'd find on a letterman's jacket. But in this case, they used suede on some parts.

AND, if you also read where most of the ideas came from, you'd be more understanding of they choices in colors, etc.

You idiots screaming "hype," a "hype" wouldn't even know that much. Stop "hyping" up the word "hype," lames.
