New Pix of the Upcoming Nike SB Dunk High "Dinosaur Jr."

New pix of the upcoming Nike SB Dunk High "Dinosaur Jr." recently hit the Net. As we have previously seen, though not in such great detail, the "Dinosaur Jr." Dunks feature a Metallic Silver upper with Purple accents and an emroidered Dinosaur Jr. character, as well as, the the words Dinosaur Jr. embroidered on the outer heels of the kix. A release date for the "Dinosaur Jr." Dunks has not been solidified at this time. Once a release date becomes available, it will be posted.

Even though I'm more of a jordan head, I like these, I like that they stand out, I think they're unique and creative, but I don't know who Dinosaur Jr. is, so I probably wouldn't wear them, and ofcourse they'll most likely be limited and prices will be outrageous, so I'll pass.

53 is correct. Dino Jr. is still around and touring. Dino frontman and guitar player, J. Mascis' website, jmascis.com, shares more info on the collabo:
"Come help Dinosaur Jr. celebrate the release of its first ever SHOE... The band has agreed to play a show on January 19th in Tampa to honor its release... As many of you know NIKE asked J Mascis to design a shoe a while back and it will finally be revealed at the Tampa Am 2007... Most of the show tickets will be for participants at the event but SOME will be set aside for the public to purchase, more details soon!
For the record neither J nor Dinosaur Jr made any money from these shoes… there will be a few available via retail, this was just a fun thing for J to do. Nike approached us about doing a skate shoe and said J could make them any style or color he wanted… this was what he came up with."

I just picked up the paul ulrich highs at ifanh today and we got talking about these. one of the guys has seen them and said they look better in person then in the pictures and that he thought they should be getting them late winter early spring. I always liked D. Jr. as a band so it's just one more reason pick them up. The big news was just how great the p-rod 2 feel. Dunks are for looks. p-rods, sb classics, and adidas skatebording are for riding.
