Steve Jobs sent ripples through the world of technology today when he announced his resignation as CEO of Apple. Though Jobs will still be an influential figure and an employee at Apple, Timothy Cook (pictured left) has replaced Jobs as CEO of Apple. What you may not know is, Timothy Cook has also served on Nike’s Board of Directors since 2005. In the six years that Cook has served on Nike’s Board of Directors, Nike and Apple have released several joint products including the Nike+ iPod/iPhone system. Now as CEO of Apple we can only assume that Cook, Nike, and Apple will continue to work together on integrated projects. Who knows what the future holds between these two titans.
