Marcus Jordan Wants to Wear Jordans at His adidas Sponsored School

Marcu Jordan Air Jordan UCF adidas

Marcus Jordan, who's been known to flash his own PE Air Jordans, is set to play for the University of Central Florida this year. Besides the fact that his choice of UCF caught many people off guard, UCF is also an adidas sponsored program. Marcus' father, Michael Jordan, has traditionally not played well with adidas, or any other non-Nike/Jordan brand for that matter. Marcus has acknowledged the fact that he will wear his team's adidas apparel but, he will only wear Air Jordans on his feet. The thing is, adidas and UCF have a contract in place whereby both parties agreed to certain things. I am pretty sure that allowing players to wear Air Jordan sneakers is not in that contract.

The situation has yet to be resolved and there is a potential for a breach of contract. Darren Rovell has the full story over at [CNBC].

If you were Marcus Jordan, what would you do?

    i would kill myself

  2. dunks i go nuts says:

lol well his pops paid the fine to wear jordans, and that was before he added so much value to the family name (in more ways than one) so why not now??

  3. Duane says:

Jordan Brand is his pops deal, Adidas is his school's deal.

Man you gotta pick the one that's most important, and family wins out over school.

  4. CJAXON says:

Why doesn't JB just start a contract with UCF(which is probably what will happen). They can buy out the adidas deal, and have it done. But really Marcus you are'nt that good to be causing such a fuss IMO.

  5. Robert C. says:

Considering Marcus Jordan's situation, signing with an Adidas school boggles the mind. WHY? And then he says he'll wear the Adidas uniforms, which is a heresy unto itself since his father is a staunch Nike guy vested in the company at its core. But Marcus Jordan says he won't wear Adidas shoes. He wants to wear his father's Jordans. This kid doesn't get it. He doesn't dictate the terms here. He chose an Adidas school. If he wants to play there, he needs to wear the shoes the university is contracted to provide. Deciding on an Adidas school is probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Tactically, it makes no sense for him, AT ALL. And he's putting his father in a bad situation to top it all off. This kid has a lot to learn.

  6. G. says:

The only exception to that contract is if Michael Jordan is your father. OWNED !

  7. uptwngngstr says:

it aint that serious. dude should be more concerned bout making it in the NBA. only reason he wanna wear his daddy's shoes so bad right now is he know he might not have a career after UCF

  8. lakerphan33 says:

This should be the last thing on his mind while getting ready to enter hoop season. This dumb *** **** will knock his focus off if adidas tells the school no. I hope the media is making this bigger then what it is. His pops will go out in some ****** steal toes and play the game like its his last. This isnt a good look for Marcus

  9. Mardi says:

    This kid got ster ways,
he should think bout dis be4 he went to UCF.
    stupid ****

  10. E. Pierce says:

California, St. Johns, North Carolina, and any other college team that I can't think of right now wears Team Jordans. Marcus Jordan should've picked one of those schools to play for if he wanted to wear his Dad's shoes! This is a publicity stunt bc obviously the Jordan kids aren't as good as Dad! They should be more interested in studying ECONOMICS so they can run the kingdom, instead of making problems for Universities. Typical spoiled kids!!!!

  11. KampoutKid says:

I don't get why kids with multi-millionaire parents go to college anyway. I'm all for bettering yourself but we all know this dude doesn't need a damn degree.

  12. CK says:

I don't get it from either his side or what y'all saying..

You don't pick a school based on what apparel their wearing, you pick it based on the coach and staff, the system the team is running and maybe the education (since he's probably not gonna make the NBA)..

And Marcus shouldn't ***** about his shoes like that. Adidas makes good enough shoes quality wise, they just look uglier. But they have a contract and he's not in a position where he is above those kind of laws.

    • Nutty says:

Agreed. You chose the school, now deal with the applicable rules like a "grown adult" instead of posting YouTube vids about your lastest PE. smh at celeb children these days ....

  13. Filmoetonyc says:

He went to school where he could play......smart! Then you get there and hand these BS adidas with no support. Then you say hell no! DADDY!.... really there are a ton of players getting stress fractures wearing adidas on their feet. 4 guys a USF had this problem and 3 at UCLA and 6 at Michigan. NO SUPPORT!

  14. N'credibo aka The One says:

who cares??? i mean really? this is'nt "NEWS" now how good he is, is another story???

  15. SABE QUE SI says:

OMG HE IS SOOOOOOOOO WACK!!! LOL HE SHOULD WEAR CONVERSE!!! THATS HOW WACK HE IS!!! AND AS FOR THE SNEAKER SITUATTION, WE ALL KNOW WHAT HIS FATHER WOULD SAY... JUST PLAY THE ******* GAME... DAM HE WACK THO!!! LOL

  16. Nutty says:

I only wish this would be a bit bigger in the media so Trey Parker and Matt Stone would tear this "kid" a new @ss in an upcoming South Park episode. What a baby ... can't stand spoiled "My Super Sweet 16" children like this.

Marcus ... man up, dude, and focus on getting better at hoops then worrying about what's on your feet when playing. Just remember, you have tons of PEs and you can rock those outside of UCF practices/games and film in future YouTube vids. You knew what was going to be the requirements before signing .... so you made your bed, you lie in it.

  17. Ziggy says:

His father is Michael Jordan. Say it slow, fast, backwards, however you like as long it sinks in deep that his father is Michael Jordan. It's really hard to believe anyone reading this can really relate to that fact, have an inkling of what your life would be like, your perspective about the things relating to your father and you would be. I can't imagine. Or I could just call him names or say what I would do if I were him. Can't relate. No way.

  18. wow says:

he knew ucf is an adidas school. he needs to shut up and wear them

  19. batman says:

He should were some JB Fushions or jordans 2009-2010. I think thats punishment enough.

  20. roq says:

jordan brand fell off already anyway

  21. WONDER WOMAN says:

JUST PLAY BALL. WEAR YOUR DADDY"S SHOES OFF THE COURT.

  22. LeBron Siron says:

his daddys the greatest basketball player in the history of mankind u gotta let the kid rock his j's

  23. LeBron Siron says:

hold up remeber didnt mike wanna wear adidas in the first place b4 nike signed him maybe he should just wear the stripes

  24. the golden child says:

just cause his daddy is michael jordan doesnt mean ****. he's not above the team, why would you want 1 player to think he's above everyone else? besides he knew adidas was the school's sponsor. ucf is just stupid for even allowing a player to make this an issue. he's gonna cost ucf 3 million dollars? please... he aint special

  25. Flyman says:

If adidas doesn't pay him, just the school, eff it rock jordans and rip off any adidas tag they put on you.
