LA Gear Looking to Come Back with Classics

LA Gear

 
The late 80s and 90s darling, LA Gear, is on a comeback trail. The brand recently linked up with Sportie LA to re-release "stitch by stitch reproductions" of several of LA Gear's vintage styles. Originally released back in '89-'90 as part of LA Gear's "Unstoppable" line, the '08-'09 retros include the LA Gear K.A.J, the LA Gear Star Shooter, and the LA Gear Fire.
 
The "Unstoppable" LA Gear line is available now at select Sportie LA shops and will be more widely available in 2009.

    My mate had a pair similar to these back in the day and when they wore out we opened up the sole to check out the "air system". If my memory serves me correctly it was nothing but a narrow piece of rock hard plastic just to give the impression of hollow camber...

    The unstoppable is hot. It's an good alternative to AJ4. AJ4 has many fake ones out in the market. I just ordered one (silver color). But I agree that the air system is just a plastic plate. It's not as good as Nike. However, Air is not the only choice. Reebok is using hexalite, NB is using Azorb rubber, Puma is using cell. Asics is using Gel.

    Hey, very nice site. I came across this on Google, and I am stoked that I did. I will definately be coming back here more often. Wish I could add to the conversation and bring a bit more to the table, but am just taking in as much info as I can at the moment.

    Its such as you learn my mind! You seem to know so much approximately this, such as you wrote the guide in it or something. I think that you just can do with some percent to power the message home a bit, but instead of that, this is fantastic blog. A great read. I will definitely be back.
