Kevin Durant to Sign with Nike

With Greg Oden signing his sneaker deal with the Swoosh in late June, all eyes were on Kevin Durant, the next marquee player (and 2nd pick in the draft) in the 2007 draft. CNBC Sports reports that Kevin Durant's contract is a "Done Deal" and that he will be joining Oden at Nike. Details of Durant's contract have not been disclosed but early reports stated that the incoming rookie and Freshman Phenom was looking for a major contract. After falling in love with the Nike Air Max Enforcer during his college play, it seemed as though Durant would lean towards Nike. It still remains to be seen if either Oden or Durant will receive their own signature sneaker, or, join the Nike Basketball Family. Both Oden and Durant will begin their professional play near Nike's Headquarters in Oregon at Portland and Seattle respectively.

Good for him...I heard that his Agent, Aaron Goodwin, was only going to get paid if he signed a contract worth over a certain amount, which Adidas was offering (more than Nike). And Goodwin wanted Durant to sign with Adidas because of how LeBron did him wrong after getting that ridiculous sneaker deal for him. Honestly, none of this matters if his sneakers suck, just like the LeBrons are starting to. Oh, and I'm first biznatches on this post.
i played with kevin and though him every move he knows his sneakers are going to sell but not like the JORDANS.
it dont matter where he signs just make the sneaks hot....
It doesn't matter how good he plays, or how his shoes are because nothing will ever pass AJ and AF1 in Nike's catalougue. Kobe is the most hyped and celebrated NBA player... I mean for God sakes the man scored 81 points in one game...and his shoes suck and they are never going to be hotter than any AJ out there. the same goes for LBJ. But make no mistake their AF1s are hot! Can't argue with the facts man.

well this is good news..glad durant went with the swoosh. i think they should move durant to jordan...or after seeing the zoom kobe III..move kobe to jumpman! his zkII rock! i am a huge fan of the ultimate. like the bron line but they are getting way to heavy for me. i loved his II's...have two colorways of that! as for retro's we have had a ton of penny's...i was just thinking..the garnett III was hot..retro that!!!
Any word on whether he'll be wearing Nikes or Jordans?
