KATC Video Feature NIKE Beijing 2008 Innovation Summit NIKE Lunar Foam Presentation

As part of NIKE's Beijing 2008 Innovation Summit, NIKE introduced two new footwear technologies aimed at revolutionizing the fit and comfort of performance footwear, Flywire and Lunar Foam. NIKE Lunar Foam, a NASA adapted space shuttle seat foam, improves on the foams presently utilized in footwear by shaving 30% off of the lowest weighted foam while simultaneously providing superior comfort and bounce.

NIKE's Lunar Foam will first make it's way into NIKE's performance footwear during the Beijing Summer Olympics. Several sneakers across several sport categories, including the Nike Hyperdunk, will feature this new technology. In addition to being utilized in Olympics specific footwear, Lunar Foam will also make its way into consumer performance footwear as well.

The NIKE Lunar Foam Presentation Video has been added to the WKATC player and can be watched by clicking on the playlist entry.
