For the fifth consecutive year, Carmelo Anthony and Jordan Brand have linked up for a Melo signature sneaker, the Jordan Melo M5. A versatile sneaker designed to allow Melo the ability to play all five positions on the court, the Jordan Melo M5 incorporates technologies and design characteristics from Basketball sneakers across categories of play.
The Jordan Melo M5 was designed to be playable out of the box, no matter which position is being played. At a slim 15 ounces, the Jordan Melo M5 is a light weight sneaker that allows players to glide between defenders like a point guard, the forefoot flex grooves provide flexibility necessary for a shooting guard, the molded fit combined with heel and forefoot Zoom Air cushioning work for a small or power forward, and the medial and lateral outsole wraps up the sides to provide improved support for players in the box.
Aesthetically Jordan Melo M5 pays tribute to some of Melo’s favorite Air Jordan sneakers in honor of the 23rd anniversary of the Air Jordan line. The Jordan Melo M5 is set to launch nationwide on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at a retail price of $125.
