Several media outlets, including TMZ and the New York Post, are reporting the death of DJ AM. A world renown DJ and devout sneakerhead, DJ AM, born Adam Goldstein, was found dead in his New York City apartment two hours ago. DJ AM survived a near fatal plain crash last year and reports say that he was working on an MTV show aimed at helping kids quit their addictions to drugs.
Though he was undoubtedly much more to many people, the sneaker community lost a true representative today. DJ AM Rest in Peace.

whatever else you can say about him, I have never met/seen/heard of anyone who loved sneakers more.
I bet they could raise serious money for charity by auctioning off his collection. I am sure thats what he would want. Other honest dedicated sneakerheads wearing what he loved, because they shared in that with him.
Certainly sad after all hes gone through.

i know what it's like to get dumped and then get hooked on prescription pills, so my heart goes out to him sincerely. I hope his family is doing ok and i will pray for em. They should sell his shoes off for some type of charity or do something for a good cause with them. how about drug policy reform? this is another celeb in a long line that have died from prescription drugs, yet marijuana is still illegal.

I agree with them how you survive a plane crash but go and do crack. Must be real stupid but I don't know what makes people does crack. No matter what RIP.
