In the mid to late 80s, Skaters latched onto the Air Jordan 1. The AJ1 was light, grippy, durable, comfortable, it looked good, there were a lot of colorways, Michael Jordan was killing the league, and, it could be found on sale shelves everywhere. Twenty three years later, the Air Jordan 1 is back in it’s Phat form making it even better for skating and even more comfortable. The Air Jordan 1 Low Phat is an updated Air Jordan 1 Low that features wider, thicker, and stronger laces, a stuffed padded tongue, and a stuffed padded ankle collar. The traditional Air Jordan 1 outsole and Air sole that made the OG Air Jordan 1 a hit on the skate scene remains in tact.
One of the last 2008 colorways Though the “Black/Red Air Jordan 1 Low Phat is listed as a December release on Jordan Brand’s official site, the sneaker is a September release that has popped up in some stores already. The “Black/Red” Air Jordan 1 Low Phat features the traditional Black/Red Air Jordan 1 colorblocking and an embroiderd Flight logo at the heel.
The “Black/Red” Air Jordan 1 Retro Low Phat is scheduled to release in December.
