Derrick Rose Signs with Adidas
Jul 25, 2008 | Comments 3

The first pick in the NBA 2008 Draft, Derrick Rose, has agreed in principle to a sneaker contract with "The Brand with Three Stripes", adidas. Throughout his college career, which spanned one amazing year, D. Rose rocked the Three Stripes on his feet. During his Summer league play, D. Rose has been going back and forth between Nike and Adidas, but that will be no more, as he joins the other top pick this year, Candace Parker, at Adidas.

Adidas?... What a waste
like d rose..dont like the decision..wanted him rockin swoosh or jumpman but when you got $$ goin to bron and kobe on da swoosh. cp and melo with jumpman..where are dollars comin from.kinda get it..adidas probably promised him a sig line which da swoosh could not do!
I told someone on here that he'd sign with Adidas, being that he was at an Adidas school in Memphis. Same reason why Candace Parker did the same thing. I really don't like the decision though, because as far as marketing goes, you just can't go wrong with Nike. I know that Adidas has K.G., T-Mac, Dwight Howard, Chauncey Billups (womp), Tim Duncan (BIG WOMP) and Gilbert Arenas as the face of the basketball line, but the shoe itself just straight SUCKS! There isn't much innovation there to catch my attention. Good luck D. Rose in getting your signature shoe to pop at Adidas.
