Though their marquee athlete, Dwyane Wade, has jumped over to Jordan Brand, Converse is still determined to gain traction in the Basketball category, a category that they once owned. This NBA Season, Converse’s main Basketball sneaker is the Converse EVO. Based on the Converse Weapon, the Converse Weapon EVO borrows the heritage from the classic silhouette and introduces Converse’s New BALLS technology.
The Converse BALLS technology is based on the theory that balls, or spheres, will expand back when compressed. The Converse Weapon EVO features Converse BALLS in the heel. The Converse Weapon EVO also marks the return of Converse Basketball’s Star/Chevron logo.
As part of their Converse EVO releases, Converse is set to release a Lakers Converse EVO inspired by Magic Johnson’s classic Converse Weapon.
The Converse Weapon EVO is available now at Converse accounts and on [Finishline.com] for a retail of $90. Read on for more pics.
