NYC's sneaker culture can be broken up the same way a New Yorker would commonly split up the City; Downtown, Midtown, and Uptown. Downtown is dominated by the NoHo/SoHo/LES boutique scene, Midtown is characterized the by the large chains stores stretching from from 34th to 42nd, and Uptown means Spanish Harlem/Harlem which features a mix of Mom and Pop's, boutiques, and large chains. Very few would even consider the Upper Westside as a location to pick up some sneakers and streetwear. WEST, located at 147 W. 72nd Street, has set out to change this. Situated next to the Upper Westside footwear institution that is Tip Top Shoes, WEST brings a touch of the Lower East to the Upper West. WEST regularly stocks top releases from Nike/Nike Sportswear, Jordan Brand, Adidas, Reebok, Vans, CLAE, Timberland, and unlike many of the Sneaker boutiques located Downtown, WEST boasts a healthy Clothing/Apparel stock including 10DEEP, Crooks and Castles, North Face, Penfield, No Mas, Mighty Healthy, Kid Robot, WeSc, NSW, Casio G-Shock, and much more.

After decades of serving New York City and the outer boroughs, Training Camp has opened it's down south in the new hotbed for Hip-Hop and kix, Miami Beach. Occupying the old Arrive spot, Training Camp Miami Beach is decked out in true Miami style with White walls, White seats and Chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. As has been the case for decades at Training Camps NYC locations, Training Camp Miami Beach stocks sneakers from several different brands including the majors, Nike/Jordan Brand/Reebok/Adidas, and independents like Creative Rec. Due to it's location, TC Miami Beach also stocks beach boutique apparel and accessories. To celebrate the shop's opening, Training Camp opened their "Vault" of kix to sell some oldies but goodies including the Defining Moments Pack and White Jordan Spiz'ikes, for retail.
