Before they release the [Mars Blackmon Jordan Spiz'ike in 2010], Jordan Brand is set to release a winterized version of the Spike Lee hybrid for the Winter months ahead. The Jordan Spiz'ike Winterized Boot features all of the same design characteristics from the Jordan Spiz'ike while adding a rugged and thicker outsole and winterized materials on the upper, making the boot waterproof. Although the Jordan Spi'zike is officially part of Jordan Brand's October drops, two colorways of the Jordan Spiz'ike boot have begun to hit retail already which include the Black/Anthracite colorway and the Dark Cinder/Black colorway. After releasing at Urban Outfitters a couple of weeks back, Nike Sportswear at 21 Mercer Street is set to release three colorways of the NYLON Magazine x WMNS Nike Dunk High. The three colorways include a Blue, an Orange, and a Yellow. Each Dunk features a full Nylon upper with the Nylon logo on the tongue and a reflective Nylon hit.

This Fall Nike will release several new sneakers that fuse the uppers from their classic performance Basketball sneakers with a more casual Nike Blazer like vulcanized sole. Included in this lineup is the Nike Auto Force, a fusion of the Nike Air Force 180 onto a vulc sole. New pics of the Black/White colorway recently made it onto the Net. As we mentioned in our [Hall of Fame Jordan Six Rings post], Jordan Brand is set to celebrate Michael Jordan's induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame with a pack (not package) of sneakers (6 Rings, AJ2009, and AJ1) and a Jordan varsity jacket. In addition to the Jordan Six Rings, Jordan Brand is set to release a Hall of Fame Air Jordan 2009. The Hall of Fame Air Jordan 2009 features a Black, White, and Red colorway with Black patent, White patent, and Black suede. Each of the sneakers within the Hall of Fame pack will feature the Hall of Fame print which is made up of discovery details that link back to MJ's Hall of Fame career. Some are obvious like "55" but some are a little less obvious, like 104, which was MJ's fever during the "Flu Game". Instead, Pietrus opted to continue rocking the Nike Hyperdunk, the sneaker he had been rocking all year and throughout the playoffs. Pietrus did personalize his Hyperdunks, adding the phrase "AF 447" to his Hyperdunks in tribute to the Air France Flight 447 that crashed over the Atlantic ocean taking 228 lives with it. Developed specifically for the Nike Sportswear LIVESTRONG Collection, the footwear design team looked at the Nike Tiempo, first launched through the Soccer category, and enhanced the shoe with key elements to work with today’s inner city bike rider. Developed in partnership with eight bike riders from around the globe, the Nike City Tiempo was constructed with a board last, a process referencing ACG’s history. The board last translates into a stiffer construction, making the pushdown of the pedal stroke easier on the rider. Throughout the construction of the shoe, the designers have increased the density of the rubber and the derometer. Inside the shoe, the sockliner has been updated to also be a bit stiffer, giving support to the foot.

Though many of us tend to focus on Nike's '80s/'90s retro kix, the Swoosh is still steadily banging out new joints daily. The retro Nike Air Tailwind that released earlier this year got a lot of retro heads excited, but running heads (or those who aren't afraid to throw on something new), are looking forward to the Nike Air Max Tailwind 2010. The Nike Air Max Tailwind 2010 is one of the first 2010 sneakers to hit the Net, and, it definitely has a futuristic look to it. The Nike Air Max Tailwind 2010 features a full length Air Max unit and the "Windows" increase in size from the toe to the heel. The upper features a series of overlays around the mid foot for protection and a light breathable forefoot section. In a not to retros, this colorway of the Tailwind 2010 features the classic combo of Grey and Neon.

According to ESPN, Mickael Pietrus is dropping "Kobe's shoes" in favor of Michael Jordan's Air Jordans. Throughout the year and during the playoffs, Pietrus has been rocking the Nike Hyperdunk, a sneaker that was heavily backed by Kobe until he received his own Nike Zoom Kobe IV. Now that Pietrus will have the task of attempting to stop Kobe, like he did with LeBron James during the Cavs series, he is dropping his Kobe's for Air Jordans with the hopes that they will help him stop Kobe. Pietrus did acknowledge the fact that no matter what kix he wears, stopping Kobe isn't going to be easy saying, "The only thing I can do is try to minimize his touches in the fourth quarter," Pietrus said, according to the Sentinel. "He's a tremendous player and those guys you can not stop them. So maybe I can say, 'Hey, stop, Kobe! Yo! Stop!' Maybe that's the only way I can stop him. 'Stop for a minute!".

Dubbed the Aston Martin, Kobe jumped over an Aston Martin in the original commercial, the Hyperdunk features several details that link back to the commercial. The "Winner" adidas zx700 is the product of a contest where the public got the chance to design their own adidas zx sneaker for production and retail release. Each of the kix are inspired by the character that they represent and feature an upper that links back to the colors of the Autobot/Decepticon and a graphic on the tongue.

Reebok Answer XIII (13) x Orchard Street

Although much of the future of Allen Iverson's Hall of Fame career is still up in the air, one thing is for certain, Reebok will release AI's 13th signature sneaker later this year/early next year. As part of their Answer 13 releases, Reebok has linked up with NYC's Orchard Street brand/shop to put their own touches on the new Answer. The Orchard Street x Reebok Answer 13 features a Metallic Silver upper with Purple and Pink accents and a Pink midsole. This palette has been used on Orchard Street's earlier collabs with Reebok. From a tech standpoint, the Answer 13 features Reebok's Hexride technology, a low profile midsole, and a lightweight breathable upper.

Nike Air Max 1 OG White/Red Retro June Quickstrike

According to Germany's [OVERKILL], the White/Red OG Nike Air Max 1 is set to retro once again in June. The retro is scheduled for a QS release sometime in late June. At this time there is no word on the sneaker touching down at QS accounts in the US. The EU does get a lot more AM releases than we do here in the States. Once we hear something, it will be posted.

Air Jordan XII (12) Re-Retro Nubuck GS

One of the most asked questions regarding the more limited Air Jordan releases is, "will these come in kid's sizes?". The answer is "yes" for the Nubuck Air Jordan Re-Retro XII. The Nubuck Air Jordan Re-Retro XII will release in both GS and Men's sizes. Aesthetically, the GS version of the Re-Retro Nubuck Air Jordan XII doesn't differ too much from the Men's.

Nike Foamposite Pro Pearl Retro 2009 Release Date Changed AGAIN

The release date for the Nike Foamposite Pro Pearl Retro 2009 has been pushed up to TOMORROW May 20th. The Pearls were initially scheduled to release on Saturday the 23rd, but with so much releasing on that day already, the Pearls have been bumped up.

Nike Air Trainer 1 Additional Colorways and PEs

As part of their roll out of the [Nike Trainer 1], Nike is set to release several GR colorways and PE colorways of the revamped training sneaker. Because training is a basic component of all all sports, PE colorways will be released for athletes across sports including Basketball (Brandon Roy) and Football (Adrian Peterson).

Nike Air Max2 CB 94 OG Charles Barkley Phoenix Retro (White Black Purple) Hits Retail

A 2009 retro of the OG Phoenix colorway of the Nike Air Max CB 94 has begun to hit retail. The Phoenix Air Max2 CB94 features a Black nubuck, and White leather upper with Purple accents. The Purple hue used this time around is "Pure Purple" rather than the Sport Royal, Varsity Royal, Varsity Purple, or Dark Concord that has been used in the past.

AND1 Tai Chi Returns

The AND1 Tai Chi is set to make it's return this October. A Basketball cult classic ushered in by the likes of a young Vince Carter, who wore them during the 2000 Slam Dunk Contest, the AND1 Tai Chi is set to return in the Black/Blue colorway for a retail of $70.
