BREAKING NEWS: Nike Hypermax McFly US Release CANCELLED
Aug 21, 2009 | Comments 13 |

According to two sources close to KixandtheCity.com and the situation, the McFly Nike Hypermax release has been CANCELLED in the States. As we have reported earlier, the Hypermax NFW pack is set to release this weekend. Originally, the Nike Hypermax NFW pack featured the Tennis Ball Hypermaxes and the McFly Hypermax. Shops have reported that they have received the Tennis Balls but the McFlys are nowhere to be found. According to our sources, the McFly Hypermax was pulled from a Stateside release due to threat of a lawsuit, presumably, from Universal Pictures. The McFly Nike Hyperdunk Low has also been cancelled.
If we receive more information we will put out an update, but for now, consider the McFly Hypermax cancelled.

Ahh that sucks!!! I should have kept the pair I had then!! They were a size to big so I sold them and was gonna wait til they release hear in the U.S. to get em in my size!!
Terrible...
NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!.......I was REALLY hoping they'd make it over!!!!!........This sucks, big time >:(
its a sad day in the sneaker community...RIP McFly's..=(
Had mine since June. I'm gonna wear them bytches to the bone and still flip them for 600. LOL
i dont see how they could get sued now, but not after the other two back to the future shoes they have already released...
I don't see how a law suit could come either, the model it self isn't based on the shoe it's a unique design. And it can't be the color blocking, since we've seen "mcfly" zoom Tre ad's and RT1's
they can file a lawsuit for a few reasons: the use of the name "mcfly" for one. if they were actually gonna be called the "McFly Hypermax", then of course Universal is gonna want their cut. also these very closely resemble the movie versions which for some odd reason Nike doesn't seem to want the public to have, so that may be it as well...
what??? why???
Thank God. One less hideous shoe Nike has tried to force on us. Consider ourselves lucky. Dodged a bullet on this one.
