Round 1 of The International Sneaker Battle took place yesterday at the Funkmaster Flex Custom Car and Bike Show in Edison New Jersey. Kix and the City was on hand to take several pictures of the event.

The International Sneaker Battle is the brain child of Mike “The Executive” a sneakerhead and former intern to Funkmaster Flex. The ISB focuses on the more competitive aspect of sneakers, keeping in line with the more natuarally competitive car show. Overall, the ISB was a very small part of the overall Car Show,receiving a small amount of real estate space off to the side. Featured within this space were several installations ranging from large collections, local boutiques, online shops, streetwear brands, and a large number of sneaker customs booths. Many familiar faces attended the show including KickzStore.com, Kicksclusive Magazine, Nostylgia, The Brooklyn Circus, Mighty Healthy, HYRO, The Sneak Tip, SB Wear, SoleSupreme, ARI, Spencer, and several other prominent New York sneakerheads. As expected, their were several celebrities in attendance including, Lord Sear, Bobbito Garcia, Fat Joe, and Lupe Fiasco.
Unlike many other sneaker shows, the ISB placed a heavy emphasis on sneaker customs.
