An Initial Look at the Upcoming Transformers Nike Air Trainer III Set to Release on Aug 9th

After much speculation and rumor, the "Transformers" Nike Air Trainer III will hit retail shelves. Building on the fanfare and buzz generated by "Transformers" the Movie, Nike will release their "Transformers" Pack on 8/9 at select Nike accounts. As part of this pack, Nike will release the "Optimus Prime" inspired Nike Air Trainer III pictured above.

Anyone else upset that the autobot logo is no loner there?
I am. I loved the huge Autobot isignia on the original, I just wished they got rid of the yellow laces. Im glad the laces are gone, but they should have kept the Autbots insignia there. Either way, Optimus Prime got him some nice kicks. Autobots, TRANSFORM AND ROLL OUT!!!
Is the Autobot insignia definitely gone on the final release of the shoe? Is there any hint if this being a Transformer-inspired shoe aside from the color scheme (i.e. Autobot/Decepticon insignia)?
Nike could have done so much more with this concept. It will be sad when these hit the outlets in about 3 months for half price.

I've been to a few spots in the northern nj area... I've called packers shoes (a well known shop) and according to them, no one has them as of yet. No word on the release date. Btw, these are off the hook... On a scale of 1 to 10 where the reebok voltron pack is an 11, theres are an 8. Autobot sign wouldve made it a 10....
