An In Depth Look at the Upcoming Taxi Nike Air Force 1 x Air Jordan XII Fusion

2008 is poised to be a monumental year for Jordan Brand. In addition to the advent of the much anticipated Air Jordan XX3, Jordan Brand is also planning several complementary releases aimed at both paying homage to the richest legacy in sneakers, and, ringing in a new era for the brand. With releases including Countdown Packs, the Jordan Brand x Levi's 23/501 Collection, several new Jordan Team sneakers, several new Jordan Lifestyle sneakers, and the Jordan Fusion series, 2008 may be the most important year for Jordan Brand since his Airness left the game of Basketball.
As part of their planned 2008 releases, Jordan Brand is set to release the Nike Air Force 1 x Air Jordan Fusion series. Dubbed the "Best of Both Worlds", the Nike AF1 x Jordan Fusion series combines perhaps the most famous Nike silhouette in the world, the Air Force 1, with several classic Jordan silhouettes including the Air Jordan XII, the Air Jordan V, the Air Jordan IV, and the Air Jordan III. Though the Jordan Brand has continued to position itself as its own autonomous brand within the Nike universe, removing the "Nike Air" logo from their retro releases and even going so far as to remove the Swoosh from their past Retro 1 releases, Jordan Brand is returning to its roots by collaborating with the company (Jordan Brand is still a Nike property) that gave birth to the Jordan Brand.
The first sneaker set to release from the Nike AF1 x Air Jordan Fusion series is the "White/Black/Taxi" Air Force 1 x Air Jordan XI. Taking inspiration from the "Taxi" Air Jordan XII, the "Taxi" AJF12 features the silhouette of the Air Force 1 Mid with design characteristics taken from the "Taxi" XII including the White Black colorway, the XII's ribbing, the XII's tongue, and the XII's JORDAN heel patch. On the Air Force 1 side, in addition to featuring the overall shape of the AF1, the AJF12 features the White/Gold strap, a Jumpman/Air Force 1 Gold lace lock, a leather wrapped midsole, and the Air Force 1s classic pivot point sole.
The "Taxi" Nike Air Force 1 x Air Jordan XII Fusion is set to release at the top of the New Year on 1/5/2008.

The XX3"s are trash!! These are pretty sweet. Some of you people cant even speak proper english. You should go back to high school before you start putting down shoes. Maybe you can afford a good pair of shoes after that.
