Alpha Air Jordan 1
Nov 14, 2009 | Comments 34 |

Jordan Brand is set to introduce the Alpha Air Jordan 1 during the Spring of 2010. The Alpha Air Jordan 1 represents the celebration of the Air Jordan legacy by re-engineering the Air Jordan 1 to meet the demands of today's athlete by incorporating today's technology all, in a familiar and timeless silhouette.
From a technological point of view, the Alpha Air Jordan 1 features full length bottom loaded Nike Zoom Air, a full length Phylon midsole that is cored out to reduce weight, a "no-sew" upper constructed upper, a perforated toebox and midpanel, and a zoned comfort lining. From a aesthetic point of view, the Alpha Air Jordan 1 obviously borrows heavily from the Air Jordan 1. Much of the original classic lines remain the same.
The Alpha Air Jordan 1 is set to release during the Spring of 2010 for a retail of $125.

DANG!These look ill i will copy can`t wait. Finally somthing good from JB
What is Jordan doing?
pretty cool
when will it end !?!?...
I really don't see what most of y'all are complaning about...these look a lot better than the fusions. Now granted i wouldn't rock them to school or something like that, to avoid being joned on llz...but I would most def' ball in these and the 16.5's I just got.
i hate perforated leather.
and no way in the world are these worth $125.
why couldnt the upper be slimmer like the AJ1's? they look like boots
I've been thinking they should put zoom in retros for a long time, so you can actually ball in 'em -- 'bout time! I'm feelin' both red colorways.
Coppin' X2 on these too!!!
Look like jordans for retarded people with polio
Not cool my man. Not cool at all.
I apologize, i didnt know this was the politically correct blog
What the hell did they do to the soles? Otherwise i think they look good.
you can finally wear AJ1 in a pick-up game, so why is it bad? It is the combination of classic and technology.
More appreciators than haters on here for these shoes! I don't understand why the hate??
I totally agree with the homey Simon. I can go hard with these, not giving a $h!t if they get scuffed. Finally an old skool looking pair I can rock the concrete courts with!!
those are the truth and its bout time they did this because those are some uncomfortable kix; they feel like you are walking on bricks. i like every color and thats rare for new age jordans.
i like how they threw that silk s--t around the collar like on the xx3's
S I C K WIT THE I L L E S T...D O P E! Just the og color ways..
Nice, I've been hoping for a long time that they'd finally give the first few Jordans a technological update. I mean it's been 25 years now and a lot has changed. You can't say you never expected this to happen.
I just hated hard on the Flu Games, but these I welcome. I would like to know how they feel and get more pics before I make a concrete opinion but for now these look like a nice added change.
The only thing tho ... is that there are way too many perforation holes going on, which may not be all that necessary and kind of dumb down the shoe. Still give me more pics from diff angles before I make a final conclusion.
I never thought the air Jordan Is were ever good for anything other than casual wear. I also never thought these were good for playing hoops in by today's standards.
I never liked Jordan I because it looked too old; However, These Alpha I are modern and athletic looking. More suited for today's athletes. It drove me nuts watching people wearing AF1s to play hoops in because no way would they play well in them. Same with other classics such as the Flight '91s. With a little overhaul it looks and performs better. I think these are excellent.
Not feeling those midsoles!
likin all but the 3rd one but jb doin too much w/ 1's.......y not re-release some iv's or xiii's....jus for me????? haha
As MisterMcfly23 said: When will it end??? I cant get jiggy wit this sh*t!
These are dope! Jordan 1's with todays tech. HELL YEA! Cant wait to ball in these
New idea: Release retro 1-15 with updated superior performance, found in lebrons and kobes. Boom. Best idea ever...better idea than the fusions.
not bad but these look like its destined to hit the clearance rack
Definite Cop, the Red/Whites and Black/Reds
THE CONCEPT IS KILLER,NOT FEELIN THE MIDSOLE, ASIDE FROM THAT THEYD GET COPPED
These are great -- not sure if I'll go Bulls colors or UNC -- that's the only question.
So for those of us that DO appreciate these...which pair is the hottest?
