Ever since news of a possible completely 3M (Scotchlite 3M Reflective Material) Air Jordan Retro V “Green Bean” leaked onto the Net a long while ago, the Jordan world has been a buzz. Fast forward to now, and still as of the time of this post, there is much confusion as to whether or not the “Green Beans” will actually release in 3M. Believed to be scrapped due to cost and potential cracking and dulling, the issue of the possibility of 3M making it onto the final retail version of the “Green Bean” was resurrected once again at the Sole Collector Grand Finale. Confirmed long ago, and already popping up at stores in NYC and around the world, the “Military” IVs are a long awaited retro of a popular and rare Original colorway. True to the OG released in 1989, the 2006 Retro “Militaries” are Off-White, down to the laces, and come complete with rubber wings and a rubber pull tab (not plastic as on the OG but very close). As expected, the “Nike Air” logo on the pull tab has been replaced with the Jumpman and the netting on the side panel is not parallel to the wings as on the Original, otherwise, the Retro “Military” IV is a pretty faithful replication of the OG.
