While Jordan Brand is putting their finishing touches on the Air Jordan 2013, we are now getting a detailed look at a prototype of Jordan Brand’s last numbered Air Jordan, the Air Jordan XX3. When a sneaker is designed, it enters and exits through many design phases and the Air Jordan XX3 design prototype captures a moment in the time of design of the Air Jordan XX3. While it is obvious to see where the final Air Jordan XX3 came from by looking at these pictures, there are many differences between this design prototype and the final Air Jordan XX3. Some of the differences include a rugged toecap and wrap, a fin-like lacing system ending with a large fin on the tongue, different panels, a blank perforated upper, and there is no fin at the heel. The midsole/outsole though, is pretty identical to the final version.
Hit the jump for more pictures and let us know if you like the final version or the prototype version of the Air Jordan XX3 better.
