Air Jordan Retro X 10 Chicago 2010 Release

New pics of the Chicago Air Jordan X that is scheduled to release in 2010 have hit the Net. According to Rick2345 at NT, this pair is his wear test pair that he wear-tested for the new IPS system in the X. Sounds like Jordan Brand might be updating their retro models with newer technology. According to Rick2345 these are the final samples and if released, will release exactly like this.

Of course, time will tell on whether or not IPS will hit retros or if the scheduled Chicago Air Jordan X will in fact release at all. Until then peep more pics, even if they are very small, [HERE].

The "Chicago" Air Jordan Retro X has easily been one of the most sought after retros of all-time....

    What Is this IPS system?

  • Nutty

I have no interest in these, although the Xs are very comfortable. Would like other colorways ... just not these.

  • jumpoldman36

I like these, but not IPS. The IPS in the XX2s were awful as much as in the XX1s...! No IPS please..!

  • hotboy16

Are they not gonna put "45" on da side of da shoe?

  • BabySal

Great shoes, I can't wait for these to drop.

  • MR. SWAGGER

THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE THE 45 ON THE SIDE.

  • Romeo

DAMN. IM GONNA HAV AN ****** WHEN I GET THESE NEXT YEAR

  • Rico7jt

Lol... RICK is my homie. He never told me about this one. Ill have to stop by his crib and check thesde bad boys out. I can't wait for these to drop if anything.

  • Blackout313

45 or not I'm still gonna cop. And I'm thumbs op for the ips system. They make my 21s feel alot better. Thank you jb.

  • shaft @ NT

I haven't bought a single X retro because MJ hated the original steel colorway because it had a toecap. I love the toecap...if the retros had the toecap, I would purchase multiples.

I wish people would start taking pictures of tags...i feel like im getting trolled

Both the XXs and the XXIs featured the IPS system, basically a bunch of pods that act as independent suspension units --- and the sole above looks like the same-old, same-old X with the list of accomplishments, and no pods... My first Jordan, but honestly one of the weakest Tinker joints (surpassed only by the XV).

  • C-RUS

I thought that IPS was the Independent Podular Suspension which was featured in the XX's with each circle (or column) on the outsole/midsole (and of course there were 20...)... its kinda like NIKE SHOX... only its better because its from Jordan.

MaZe, am I way off base? Those interchangeable pods would make sense too though.

The IPS System was featured on the XX, XX1, and, XX2. With the XX1, Jordan Brand introed the removable pods that you could switch out for the heel IPS and choose Zoom Air or Encapsulated Air. IPS evolved from the XX-XX2 and the outsoles looked different on each.

The reason I mentioned the pods, and I guess I should have been more clear, is because if we are looking at the same pics, there doesn't appear to be a traditional IPS pattern on the outsole. Unless I just don't see it. Now I am assuming here, but if there is IPS in these, I'd have to think that it was somehow embedded in the midsole through the use of the pods. I am obviously assuming here because I don't have these sneakers and I didn't design them.

      Time will tell I guess.

  • Rick Kang

C-RUS, you're a li'l confused. The XXs had four or five pods (I forget which), not 20 --- representing all the Jordans past. And the interchangeable part you're referring to wuz the Max Air or Zoom Air heel unit you could switch in the XXIs, which has nothing to do with the IPS...
