Air Jordan Retro 1 High Strap Black Red Detailed Look

Twenty three years ago, Nike and Michael Jordan proved that they were both here to make a statement even if they had to break some rules and swallow some fines in the process. Though much has changed in Basketball and the World since then, the Air Jordan line makes just as much, if not more, of a statement today as despite the fact that MJ is no longer on the court, Air Jordans still command retail.

In this, perhaps, final year of the numbered Air Jordan signature line, Jordan Brand is set to release the throwback of all throwbacks, the Black Red Air Jordan Retro 1, this time though, with a strap. The Black Red Air Jordan Retro 1 High strap really needs no description as this is the sneaker, minus the strap of course, that started the Air Jordan line and the buzz that carries on today. To switch this retro up from the OG, the Air Jordan Retro 1 High Strap features a velcro strap at the ankle with the Air Jordan Flight logo. For those looking for the OG look, the strap is easily removable.

The Black Red Air Jordan Retro 1 High Strap is set to release on Nov. 22nd.

i kinda do regret buying my DS black/red 01's in April for $350...what i really regret is unDSing them 2 months ago. Never thought these would look that good. still happy to have my 01's though. I am copping these for sure perhaps a pair or 2 including the "gucci" 1s also

JB Can KICK ROCKS! Chris you are BUGGIN for regretting buying your 2001 pair (for a great price by the way) This Is Awful. You Guys Can Hate Me If you want but i have the 2001 retro so you can settle for less with these too. I thought they would basically just remake the 2001 with a jumpman on the tongue because then I woulda bought em. JB loves throwing Jumpmen everywhere! The one on the back is unnecessary and then that strap is the WORST! I Admit that its cool that these have red laces because the OG came with red laces but THATS IT! The Shape/Height is Off so if you like these you might as well buy the lows with the double velcro strap. They are claiming to not be doing any more retros and then they completely F*CK up every retro that they DO release. The CDP in December better be good, but I'm already waiting for them to mess em up.

  9. Chris says:

These dont have the nubuck swoosh that the 01s have...and btw the leather on those look pretty cheap. i will still buy them so i can beat them to hell and retire my 01s...OGJayB you're right, the red laces make them look OG and the jumpman on the back is unnecessary. still nice though

  10. Cory G. says:

everybody's a critic nowadays huh? when was the last time you made a shoe? jus shut the f*uck up and buy only the jordans you like and keep it moving.

  11. angel says:

Cory G. you need to stfu and go get laid brotha cuz u is one angry boy. u dont make shoes either go jerk off to your kicks fkin loser

  12. trooph says:

Nice. Not as clean with that jumpman on the heel but jeans will negate that.

  13. CHUNGBOB89 says:

these are hot and i def will cop but probably just to stash until the 01's become unwearable. i personally dont own a pair of 01's but i'm definitely not going to drop $350+ for a sneaker that probably wont be wearable 5-10 more years down the line. plus dont forget, some collectors of this generation cant afford dropping that same price either so releases like these are what they have been dreaming of. as for the quality, i dont know what all the fuss is for...WE ALL SAW IT COMING.lol finally as for those complaining about the "shape" and new-found hatred of the jumpman logo...GROW UP. you weren't complaing about these things when you bought the 01's and even if you were, YOU STILL BOUGHT THEM.

i like them. there's a bit of deviation from the OGs, but for those of us that don't have the OGs, these should do just fine. seeing how jb has been doing lately, these may be the closest we get to the OGs? i would love the OG IIs. if anyone knows where i can get a fresh pair of IIs in a size 12, get at me, mdhrjh@sol.com.

this gon be a good beat up shoe

  17. Me. says:

I'd rather pay $110 for these then drop 250+ for 01's. Really hoping they do this with the Royals also. But if not, I'll get the Phat Low's.
