The Air Jordan line and Spike Lee’s “Do the Right Thing” will forever be linked in popular culture. The classic scene when Buggin’ Out bugs out after getting his White/Cement Air Jordan IV scuffed by a “white guy wearing a Celtics jersey”, showed the world just how passionate the streets were about their Air Jordans.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the “Do the Right Thing”, the film originally released in 1989, Jordan Brand is set to release two Do the Right Thing Air Jordan Retro 1 His. The Do the Right Thing Air Jordan Retro 1 His feature a White with Metallic Red accents and a White with Metallic Green accents. Both of these colorways are in fact OG colorways that were part of a “Metallic” collection of Air Jordan 1s. These newer retros feature a print around the ankle collar which the OG did not feature. The Do the Right Thing Jordan Collection will also feature DTRT themed apparel to link up with the kix.
Both Air Jordan Retro 1 Hi Do the Right Thing sneakers are set to release separately (no package, just a pack) in July.
