Air Jordan Retro 1 Fathers Day 2 Light Tweed

As we mentioned in our initial Air Jordan Father's Day post, in addition to the ["Dark Tweed/Father's Day" Air Jordan Retro 1], Jordan Brand is set to release a Light Tweed "Father's Day" Air Jordan Retro 1 dedicated Michael Jordan's deceased father, James R. Jordan Sr. The Light Tweed "Father's Day" Air Jordan Retro 1 features a White Leather/Chino Tweed upper, a Clear Swoosh, Red contrast stitching, and Black accents.
The "Father's Day" design hit comes in the form of a toolbox embroidery at the heel. This embroidery spells out POPS and symbolizes Michael's father. The symbolism of the toolbox itself may have contributed to Michael's signature "tongue wag". MJ's "tongue wag" came from his father who hung his tongue out of his mouth while absorbed in work. Beyond a tribute to his father, Father's Day itself is a very important day in the history of Michael Jordan's career. MJ won his fourth championship on Father's Day the year that his father was murdered.
The Light Tweed "Father's Day" Air Jordan Retro 1 is set to release on on June 7th.
