Air Jordan 2011 First Look

As expected, and in what has become a yearly tradition now, pics of the upcoming Air Jordan signature sneaker, the Air Jordan 2011, have leaked onto the Net. Though all of the specific tech details will officially be unveiled via Jordan Brand soon, we do have a very detailed look at the newest piece of the Air Jordan legacy. The Air Jordan 2011 takes a much more minimalistic aesthetic approach when compared with many of the most recent Air Jordan releases. From a tech perspective, the Air Jordan 2011 features an interchangeable Air sole with a footbed that features Zoom Air and a footbed that feature Max Air.

As always, do remember that the Air Jordan 2011 pictured in this post can change from now to release but, this will definitely be the general direction of the sneaker.

Much more to come but for now, peep more pictures [HERE].

        • sneaker hatfield

No, lol....these are hot, love the icy sole...Can you say concord 11s

  • theArchitect

I'm glad there are no straps or shrouds. Jordan's flagship model should always be a clean, avant garde design like this. Perhaps a more sculpted midsole and a shank plate would make it really pop.

  • DT

    These look nice.

  • Walk_Thizz_way

so thiz iz the upgrade from the air jordan 2010...epic fail!

  • romebe

they look like Kevin Martin's caca

  • http://goazcats.com Kenny

They good to me. I'll cop.

  • http://N/A Robert C.

Wow. Look at the positive reactions. I want in on this come All-Star weekend.

  • Rafae

I agree with most of the posts thus far. This feels like a Jordan shoe to me. Simple, clean toe, interesting leather work. Not a fan of the clear sole. I've always hate this feature of certain Jordan releases. I've just never been that great at keeping them on ice without having them turn yellow. However, this is a jordan release that I would cop. I liked the 23s, but Jordans have been spotty for years.

  • King Brandon

    Boooo!!! Get of the stage!

  • surfacin4air

these look like pelle pelle's you wouldn't catch me in these at my wake.

  • Sjakie

pfffffff..... It looks so cheap! What happened to the innovative and groundbraking designs that JB was known for...

    • Nutty

      this .... +1 x 1000

  • pwetpwet

    what the hell is this?

  • dmofasho

wtf is this? JB and jordan are killin me he should of stopped after at 23..like nowb said this looks like a $25 dollar shoe...he needs to do me and everyone else a favor and release the air jordan retro 10s..

  • Tomas

interesting...need to see more CWs before i would commit; but i would not purchase these "goods"

  • iDunk

ahhaha JB's makin me laugh ahhahah aww shit who the fuck designed these HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHA...HIRE ME! I'll do it for free and still come up with somethin better than this hahahhahahah

  • iDunk

^ Excuse my french in my last comment lol

  • MisterMcfly23

WTF!?!?...once again JB reminds the world that theyre on a crash course with "falling smooth the f@ck off"...smmfh...

  • imperceptible2108

Let's be honest! JB has lost it! Was this design copied from And1?

  • jr_lyon

This shoe definatly needs round laces, not those bullsh*t flat-round. I am so sick of flat-round laces on everything!!!

  • Slice

Looks good. I'm not a fan of the materials for the black panel, but I'm sure they'll have options.

  • Solefulone

I like them. Now the deal breaker is going to be the price. When the XI originally came out they were $125. I can see charging $150 for these because of the interchangeable insoles, but if they are $170 then these won't be purchased until the go on sale. I also wish the Zoom insole had a full length bottom loaded unit like the 2010's.

    • Rafael

Yeah, I like these more and more every time I look at the pics. The deal breaker for me is the price, too. I just don't see dropping $170 on these. I just don't love the design that much. I am sure the leather will feel buttery smooth and the shoe will be super comfortable. I will be able to wait until it drops to $150 though.

  • Jer Dawg

This is too simple. They DO look extremely cheap. Interchangable cushioning units? Geez. XXI re-incarnated gimmicky! These are seriously old man designed sneakers. Tinker Hatfield and his old man mentality really set these back. They don't even look like premium leather. Some kicks from the Ross department stores from some unknown company. These are Team shoe styling! If they were team Jordans then these are nice. But it's the Legacy series and they really made these horribly. Looking back now, the 2009 look brilliant.

  • TD

Thin, light. Very little substance. Around the ankle eyelets etc. seems unfinished. Hope they improve these prior to release.

  • Ray

TRASH!JB you should have stop with 23, just keep doing retros and you'll be fine you're just killing the brand if you continue

  • Chris Dahl

Wow this is probably one of the worse JB shoes I've every seen...and I thought it couldn't get any worse after the 2010. Just stick to Retros because that's what about the only thing you can't screw up...

    • gotjordans?

But they did screw up some retros. By replacing NIKE AIR with the Jumpman... And some ugly ass colorways too...

  • gotjordans?

the Jumpman on the back is too big. I like the simple look, I like the clear sole. But I don't like the colorway, I don't like the black bottom and I definitely won't like the price... Can u say $200.00. Or $180.00??? It will be overpriced.

  • mello d

I had to go back and look at the pic after all the positive feedback. Thought to myself do I have a different shoe on my page because these are lame. If they we're made by under armour these would get no love. The age of Jordan Classics are over

Ok cool I'm copp those joints because they are fresh

  • OzoneJB23

i liked the 2010s,but these are str8 up trash...they will end up at the nike outlets instantly

  • http://MySpace.com/JSmoove313 J-Smoove

Agh... please, save all of your extreme comments until they're officially unveiled. If this shoe came out today or this week, I'd completely understand. But this shoe is still two whole months away. ANYTHING can happen between now and then. Remember last year? When we got the first look at the 2010's they didn"t even have the "window" in them and everyone was calling the center piece a "spinning rim." Before the release date they ended up dropping the "rim" all together. So, in my opinion, I don't care for them at the moment but I know I'll end up getting them anyway becuse simply put, they'll be the best shoes technology wise in the world for next year, just like the Air Jordan series is every year. And Jer Dawg, you're right, the interchangable soles are VERY XX2 and I think it'll be a huge pain switching out the WHOLE insoles in and out. Plus, the Air Max insole looks like they cut it out of a pair of Hydros and super glued them to bright red insole. Not only that, but I think if you look closely at the outsole toward where the balls of your feet will be, you can sort of make out the swirl fingerprint pattern used on the XX3 outsole as well. I'm really surprised JB didn't add a permanent Air Max 360 midsole to this one like they've been doing to most of their other shoes recently. I was really looking forward to that. Oh well, I'll be waiting for their gimmick for this one. But anyway, I didn't mean to write a book y'all but don't be so quick to go to the extreme, it SHOULD get better in the coming months.

  • http://deleted Nutty

This joints are ugly as my poop after I take a healthy dose of laxatives. I'm not trying to get all juvenile and all, but that is the only way I can describe this pieces of trash. Tech is sure great, but the aesthetics ugly as sin.

    • http://deleted Nutty

Seriously, Jordans are supposed to look like a $150 sneaker but these joints are look like $25 jumpmans. Terrible, just terrible.

If this wasn't an "Air Jordan 2011," the jockers wouldn't be ridin. That's what's up.

  • bijan919

these look like da da's, but something is intriguing about an all black pair
