As MaZe explained in the [KATC StockRoom HD: December], Adidas is set to celebrate their 60th Anniversary in 2009. Dubbed the “60th Anniversary of Soles and Stripes”, 2009 will be a big year for Adidas Originals as the brand is set to go back to it’s roots while still looking forward. As part of their 60th Anniversary, Adidas will dip into their vault to release several seldom-retroed legacy styles including the Adidas Ecstasy.
First released in 1986, the Adidas Ecstasy was a performance Basketball sneaker with immense street appeal. The aggresive colors and huge Adidas Branding found a place in early Hip-Hop culture as the style of the sneaker perfectly fit the flamboyant Hip-Hop style of the late 80s. As part of their Ecstasy releases, Adidas is set to release the Black/Metallic Silver Adidas Ecstasy. The Black/Metallic Silver Adidas Ecstasy features a combo upper of Black Leather, Black Nubuck, and Black Patent leather with Chrome accents in the Trefoils and in the huge Adidas hit at the back ankle.
The Adidas Ecstasy is set to begin rolling out in Jan. 2009.
