A Look at the Upcoming Charles Barkley Gold Medal Nike Air Force 1 Low Premium CB
Nov 14, 2007 | Comments 0

The 1992 Olympics, held in Barcelona, Spain, played host to perhaps the greatest Basketball ever assembled. With a starting 5 that included Patrick Ewing, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and of course, Charles Barkley, the "Dream Team" demolished their competition on the way to a perfect record, numerous Olympic records, and the Gold Medal. Despite a starting 5 and a bench filled with NBA Hall of Famers, it was Charles Barkley who led the team in points, averaging 18.0 points per game on an unheard of 71% field goal percentage.
To pay homage to Barkley's dominance at the 1992, and later at the 1996, Olympic Games, Nike is set to release a pack of Charles Barkley Air Force 1s inspired by Sir Charles' Gold Medal performance. As part of this pack, Nike is set to release the "Gold Medal" Nike Air Force 1 Low Premium CB. The "Gold Medal" Air Force 1s feature a Metallic Gold upper, a Navy Swoosh with Red contrast stitching (reminiscent of the Dream Team uniform), and a Blue speckled Gold midsole.
The "Gold Medal" Nike Air Force 1 is officially set to release on 11/24, but as always, can be found prior to the release date.
