Over the years the Jumpman symbol and the Air Jordan Brand have become so recognizable throughout the World and throughout sports that it seems that the brand that Michael Jordan built could penetrate an area of sport performance. After conquering Basketball and the streets, Jordan Brand has it's eyes set on the world of Skate. This July, Jordan Brand is set to introduce it's first official skate sneaker, the Jordan Flipsyde. The Jordan Flipsyde takes inspiration from the Air Jordan III with enhanced materials and construction tailored for the beating sneakers take on the board. The Flipsyde features a rugged Nubuck/Suede upper, a vis Air Unit, and a thick one piece sole.
Several colroways of the Jordan Flipsyde is set to release throughout 2008 beginning with the Black colorway pictured above in July.

Iffy on these, look at in the store. It's not a complete bandwagon jump for Jordan to do skate shoes, because back in the day guys would skate in Jordans. But these don't grab me the way the first shoe in a new line should.
I'm not sure about the Jordan brand "conquering" skateboarding. the niche is very unkind to new entrants especially to brands w/ out skate cred. I think the jordan brand image is too baskeball specific and established to really play itself into skateboarding. Look how Jordan's golf line failed, along with his dress shoes/boots.
i dont think they will go well skateboarders will call anyone who skates in these posers just like in the nike documentary but i own a pair of p rods and they fit similar to jordan 3's
Too bulky, too stiff looking, would be surprised if you had much board feel judging by thickness of that sole. May have to eat my words when they come out though. Let SB do the skate shoes.
I feel sick to my stomach!!!!
all jordan brand has to do to take over the skating shoe line is release, the Is the IIs the IIIs the IVs the Vs and the VIIIs and the XIIs, Basically any hot jordan and put on a durable and improved material. List them at 150, and call it a day.
See stores sell them for 200 a piece. Easy.
Westcoast..your genious idea already failed, it's called gourmet footwear. enjoy.
