Kobe Bryant MVP Nike Zoom Kobe III SL PE

mvp-nike-kobe-iii-sl-p.jpg

Tonight, Kobe Bryant, will take the court as the reigning NBA MVP for the first time in his 12 year career. After leading the Lakers to the best record in the highly competitive Western Conference and going 5-0 thus far in the Play-Offs, Bryant has finally taken his place among the pantheon of Basketball greats that have won the award before him. Previously considered the best player to never win the MVP, Kobe's 12 year MVP drought matched the longest time a player of his caliber had gone without winning the trophy. Karl Malone's 12 year MVP drought had been the longest before Kobe matched it this year.

When Kobe leads the Lakers in game two of the Western Conference semi-finals against the Utah Jazz, he will step on the court in a pair of PE "MVP" Nike Zoom Kobe Bryant III SLs (he wore them in game 1 as well). The "MVP" Nike Zoom Kobe III SL features a Lakers colorway with a White SL upper a Purple Swoosh and a Gold midsole. The toecap and the heel feature Croc patterned leather. Kobe's personal MVP design hits come at the tongue with a special MVP/Kobe Logo and specially designed MVP lucite box featuring the same logo lasered on the top.

At this point, the "MVP" Nike Zoom Kobe III SL PE is not scheduled to release. Should this change, we will create an update post.

WOW! That box and "MVP" logo is R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S! FYI - Had CLE swept the Wizards, I don't think Kobe would've gotten the MVP so soon and it would've still been up in the air between him, LeBron and Chris Paul. CP is BAAAAAALLLLLIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNN!!!

    JB says:

studiored i thought the same thing as you, but i am going to give him credit and say that he was thinking they might wait to make the announcement even thought the voting was over.
The NBA does not set a date so they can do it when its best for publicity, he might be saying that they wanted to keep anticipation high if Lebron had dominated in the first round. Although that logic is a lil faulty since cp3 went off on the mavs.

Personaly I think these are beautiful shoes. Eric Avar is a top notch designer (Jordan Jumpman pro) whos been in the bizz for a while. This is definatly a unique and well done design. Shoes are not outstanding court performers, but they are still very much above average basketball shoes.

chris paul should not have been mvp!

if that was the case, then kobe should have been mvp when dirk and steve nash was mvp.

    UDONTEVENWATCHBASKETBALL says:

THese Kobe 3s are sick. Kobe has been puttin up the numbers for 12 years, Only other person even in the race should be Lebron, since his average this season being 30+ 8 boards and 7 dimes, hmmm only 2 players is NBA HISTORY to do it was Jordan and Oscar. And Jordan only did it once ( 89-90)! So don't be hating. Put the shoes out Nike. Don't do the harlem BS with house of hoops. NYC people have everything anyway ( except for a good team) they dont need ALL the exclusives. The pollution there will just make that white crock dirty anyway.
