Air Jordan Retro 1 Opening Day Pack

Air Jordan 1 Opening Day Pack

During the later portion of 1993, Micheal Jordan announced his retirement from the game of Basketball, walking away from the court. Several months later during March of 1994, he walked onto the Baseball field as a Birmingham Baron, a Chicago White Sox farm team owned by Chicago Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf. According to MJ, the wishes of his later father, drew him onto the diamond as a way to fulfill his father's dream. Though his Baseball career was short lived, MJ posted a .202 batting average with 3 HRs, 51 RBI, 30 stolen bases. In 1995, Jordan returned to the court to win 3 more championships.

To commemorate Micheal Jordan's time as a Birmingham Baron, Jordan Brand is set to release the Air Jordan 1 "Opening Day Pack" (not package). The "Opening Day" Pack features two Air Jordan Retro 1s inspired by the Birmingham Barons/Chicago White Shox Home and Away Uniforms. The 1s are set to release on 3/29 at a retail of $100. In addition to the sneakers, Jordan Brand is set to release a Birmingham Barons inspired T-Shirt with the #45 on it as well for a retail of $40.
