A Closer Look at the Upcoming SVSM Birthday Nike Zoom LeBron V

As a younger player, LeBron James dreamed of putting Akron, Ohio on the Map. Known more for the strength of their College Football programs, Ohio is just far enough away from Basketball the powerhouse States of New York, Washington/Maryland, Connecticut, etc. to be overshadowed by the Northeast's rich Basketball history. LeBron's quest began as a teenager, as a High School player, playing for Saint Vincent/St. Mary's High School. His High School dominance, playing as a man among boys, catapulted him and Akron on to the international scene as his St. Vincent/St. Mary's was forced to relocate their home games to the University of Akron to accommodate the large crowds and media presence, several of his High School games were nationally televised, and he landed on the covers of Slam Magazine, ESPN the Magazine, and Sports Illustrated (wearing his SVSM uniform). Though he spends most of his time playing Basketball around the world as an international icon of the sport, James' heart will always remain in Akron and in St. Vincent/St. Mary's.
