Following up on our [in depth look at the "Home" Adidas TS Lightswitch Low GIL], we take an in depth look at the "Away" version of the style. The "Away" Adidas TS Lightswitch Low GIL features a predominantly Black upper with Sandstorm accents along the forefoot strap and around the inner lining. Material wise, the "Away" GILs feature leather, Black Nubuck (on the outer heel), Sandstorm Nubuck, and a Black Mesh overlay over 3M. Several design characteristics are retained from the "Home" version including the illustration of GIL on the tongue stabilizer, the holographic Adidas /TS logo on the tongue, Gilbet's signature on the inside of the tongue, the "TS" logo embossed on the forefoot strap, the small Adidas branding on the lateral side, and the 3M Three Stripes on the medial side. Technology wise, the Adidas TS Lightswitch Low GIL features Adiprene in the forefoot and heel, air vents along mid foot and heel, and two insoles, one used when playing with custom orthotics and a normal Adiprene insole. Although slated to officially release on 11/23, both the "Home" and "Away" Adidas TS Lightswitch Low GIL, as well as the TS Lightswtich Low Mid, have begun to hit the shelves of large chain retailers.
 
Editor's Note: The "Away" nickname is derived from the fact that the "Away" sneakers are Black and the "Home" sneakers are Light Grey. As a team, the Washington Wizards do not wear Black sneakers while Away or at Home.
 
Also as a reminder, the Adidas TS Lightswitch Low GIL is considered the "Home" and "Away" version of Gilbert's sneaker. He will not change into the [TS Lightspeed] nor the TS Lightwitch Mid, or the TS Promodel during the season like the other athletes on Adidas' roster. The GIL II ZERO is the TS Lightswitch Low GIL, remixed into 18 different colorways through the Adidas Remix program.
