Following up on our [detailed look at the "Carmine" Air Jordan Retro VI], we take a detailed look at it's Countdown Pack companion, the "Black Suede" Countdown Air Jordan Retro XVII. The Air Jordan XVII will always mark Michael Jordan's second return to the game of basketball and the first time, and only time, MJ played for an NBA team other than the Chicago Bulls. When the Air Jordan XVII initially released, it brought with it the next level in sneaker packaging, a Metallic Silver briefcase and Air Jordan CD.
 
The Air Jordan XVII returns for the first time in the Air Jordan 6/17 Countdown pack in a Black Suede Retro+ colorway. Inspired by "the fine details from an Aston Martin, the smooth lines and flow of a jazz solo and the long Air Jordan history of innovations in style", the "Black Suede" Air Jordan Retro XVII remains very faithful to the OG retaining the same overall shape and design characteristics of the original including the removable shroud, the lacelock, the musical notes on the shroud, and even the "Peel Off" tape around the heel.
 
The "Black Suede" Countdown Air Jordan Retro XVII is officially set to release on May 24th.

As we mentioned in [our first Air Jordan Fusion 3 post], Jordan Brand is set to follow up the Air Jordan Fusion 5 Mids and Lows with the Air Jordan Fusion 3. The Air Jordan Fusion 3, like the entire Air Jordan Fusion series, combines the design characteristics of the Nike Air Force 1 and perhaps the most beloved Air Jordan of all time, the Air Jordan III. New pics of the "Flint Grey" Air Jordan Fusion 3 recently hit the Net.
 
The "Flint Grey" Air Jordan Fusion 3 features a Flint Grey Nubuck upper with White contrast stitching, a Varsity Maize/White/Grey elephant print, a Grey/Varsity Maize Jumpman Air on the Air Jordan III heel tab, and a Nike Air Force 1 Supreme translucent midsole.
 
The "Flint Grey" Air Jordan Fusion 3 is set to release on July 4th.

For years the Nike Sports Culture category had defined Nike's initiative to adapt their legacy of performance styles into more casual non performance based applications. The Nike Sport's Culture category has, officially as of today, gone through a rebranding and will now be known as the Nike Sports Wear category, or, NSW.
 
As part of the new NSW and as part of the NSW's push during the Beijing Olympics, Nike unveiled the Nike Olympics Dunk High pack. The "Olympics" Nike Dunk High Pack features Dunk Highs that take inspiration from the Olympics Rings and the Olympics festitivties. Several of the NSW "Olympic" Dunk Highs feature an all solid colored Patent upper inspired by the Olympic Rings and one of the NSW "Olympic" Dunks features an overlayed polka dot print on a Black/Red seamless Dunk High.
 
As of now a release date for the NSW "Olympic" Dunk High pack has not been confirmed.

As we have posted before, Nike is officially set to introduce their new Flywire Technology as part of their Beijing 2008 innovations. Up until now we have seen the Nike Flywire technology as part of Nike's new performance line through the Nike Hyperdunk and the Nike Zoom Victory Spike, and now for the first time, the Flywire technology has made it's way onto Nike's retro product as well through the Nike Flywire Air Max 90. The Nike Flywire Air Max 90 feature the overall silhouette of the Nike Air Max 90 with a Canvas/Flywire upper and a Free outsole.
 
As of now their is no release date set for the Nike Flywire Air Max 90 as it was just unveiled today as part of Nike's Beijing 2008 Media Summit in Beijing.

In traditional fashion, Jordan Brand is set to release a low version of the Air Jordan XX3 to follow up the mid top version. As part of the upcoming Air Jordan XX3 Lows, Jordan Brand is set to release a White/Red Air Jordan XX3 Low on July 12th. The "White/Red" Air Jordan XX3 Low features the same overall silhouette of the Air Jordan XX3 mid with a more pronounced midsole seam and a lower profile TPU midsole. The Air Jordan XX3s considered construction, MJ initials stitching, the finger print/carbon fiber outsole, etc. remain intact while Michael Jordan's signature around the toecap has been removed.
 
The White/Red Air Jordan XX3 low is set to release on July 12th at Jordan Brand accounts.

Throughout the 2007/2008 NBA Season, the Celtics', and Jordan Brand athlete, Ray Allen had worn several Jordan Brand offerings including PE Air Jordan Retro VIIIs, PE Air Jordan Retro IIs, Air Jordan XX3s, etc. before settling into the new Jordan TGIM for the Celtics Play-Off run. The Jordan TGIM, an acronym for The Game Is Mine, is Jordan Brand's late season Team Jordan Basketball performance footwear model. The Jordan TGIM features several performance attributes designed "to fulfill the needs of the serious athlete", including a Max Volume full length Max Air Sole and an off-center lacing system designed to provide for superior lockdown around the foot.
 
According to Jordan Brand:
